A novel approach to public speaking skills

Jerry Seinfeld famously quipped “speaking in front of a crowd is considered the number one fear of the average person. Number two was death. This means to the average person if you have to be at a funeral you’d rather be in the casket than doing the eulogy.”

Three-quarters of people have some level of anxiety around public speaking, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. It’s time to change that.

It turns out public speaking and stand-up comedy are learnable skills, just like anything else. And they have more in common than one might think.

Getting laughs as a comedian is all about connecting with and engaging your audience, and the skills, strategies and techniques used on stage at comedy clubs are transferable to conference rooms.

Corporate Charisma was founded by Bill Conry and Brian Gallagher (resident MC of Ireland’s largest comedy club, the Laughter Lounge) to bottle the best practices comedians use to help turn individuals and teams into more confident, authentic communicators no matter the stage.

Their backgrounds in training/facilitating, communications, and sales/marketing paired with their experience onstage offers a unique, practical perspective…and a recipe for a fun, interesting experience.
